>>He said "Moscow had sought to lure Americans down "a treasonous path." whether or not they succeeded is beside the point in terms of whether or not they meddled with the election. Fact is they meddled, and the fact you don't believe can be attributed to them having some success with that, and possibly lured your vote. It seriously sounds like you've fallen victim to the key parts of the dictators handbook - don't believe any of the media or any other branches of the government, and only Trump can be believed and only he can fix it. See a pattern here yet dude? You got suckered I'm tellen ya.

>Victor, you're a good guy (and I know people who know you personally, who attest to that): but last sentence is just plain ridiculous. It's totally without merit, and uncalled for. No one can force you what to say, but you really need an attitude adjustment if you think anyone "got suckered".

>In the case of Bill F, he was saying things like that far before the election campaign.

Most of us weren't around during the McCarthy era. I got just a glimpse of it a youngster, but its echoes lingered on for a long time and my college profs made sure we knew what a monster McCarthy had been.

From what I could see then, McCarthy used innuendoes and unsupported claims to imply that people were, wittingly or unwittingly, cooperating with the Russians.
He too tossed around words like "treason."

The left, with good reason, tore into McCarthy then.

What I'm hearing from the left now sounds an awful lot like what I heard that McCarthy said.
It was crazy then and it's crazy now.

My fellow lefties also decried the infamous "black list" of names of people whose political beliefs made them pariahs.
I'm seeing people denied access to campuses because of political beliefs. Sound a lot like the black list to me.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
