This was the major problem I had with my application. My users will spend more time creating new records than modifying existing data.

Jim,

I am sorry, I was not around. We do have this crazy habit of taking vacations this side of the Atlantic. No wonder we lag behind you will say.

Anyway, I just tried what you suggested, i.e. lock a record with rlock() on one station and adding records under a begin/end transaction scheme. No problem.

HTH,

Marc
