>>But think about what you're saying. Don't protest where anyone can see you protest, if you're wealthy then you should not protest, and then compare this peaceful protest action to a riot. None of that holds water.

The fragility of peaceful protest is that any influence it exerts, is via audience. No audience = no impact. This is why disconnected virtue signaling at a game is so different from (for example) going to schools and being a role model, creating your own audience and engaging it to ensure the mesage gets where it needs to get.

Fox now says it won't televise the anthems before games for the rest of the season. Poof goes the Fox audience for these game displays, proving the fragility of this sort of posturing by millionaires who are at the event anyway and could do a lot better if they were serious. The message I perceive is that people are powerless except to posture when others are watching which is a lousy message.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
