>>>But think about what you're saying. Don't protest where anyone can see you protest, if you're wealthy then you should not protest, and then compare this peaceful protest action to a riot. None of that holds water.

>The fragility of peaceful protest is that any influence it exerts, is via audience. No audience = no impact. This is why disconnected virtue signaling at a game is so different from (for example) going to schools and being a role model, creating your own audience and engaging it to ensure the mesage gets where it needs to get.

Their peers in their communities are not who they're protesting though is it? So wrong audience. If you're an professional NFL player I'd say you're best shot at an audience would be..hmmm...let me think here...oh yes ...a NFL game.

>Fox now says it won't televise the anthems before games for the rest of the season. Poof goes the Fox audience for these game displays, proving the fragility of this sort of posturing by millionaires who are at the event anyway and could do a lot better if they were serious. The message I perceive is that people are powerless except to posture when others are watching which is a lousy message.

Fox is not going to show anything that shows protest or support for those of color or for women. Fox News is still saying the players are protesting the flag, the anthem, and are anti-American hahaha. They are not even reporting the facts on this dude. You really think some beer-guzzling fans are going to give a crap about Fox not televising the anthem if they still get to watch the game, and turn it off because of it? Those who do turn it off (and of course there will be a few who either do or claim to of done it) are doing so based on misinformation fed to them by Fox itself in the first place.
