Hi Jess,

I read some of your messages and kept silent, because I didn't see the need to jump in, but now it seems like this grows to an extension that is hardly acceptable for me...

>It's my obligation to say my side about your statements Mike. No need to mention any facts about my point because its obvious and its a reality.

Mike gave you several dozen reasons, why it is cheaper, easier, better to buy a commercial framework and start from there. He gaves facts, reasons, explanations. When he asked you to do the same, your answer is: "I don't have to." Why? Do you have no facts you can give us? Do you fear that you are proven wrong?

A framework of the same quality as a commercial framework costs at least $100,000 if you develop it in house. So, how can that be better than purchasing a commercial framework let's say for $600 and spend $3,000 on training and another $2,000 on making it work the way you want? Can you give us any reason why it's better to start from the scratch than using a commercial framework as a base and modify it the way you want.

>If VFE is functional, well designed, well documented, enhanced, flexible and powerful, supported by anyone and powerful as something that you can pick up for $600, then, there should'nt be other frameworks out there that are coming out. I did know some foreign developers here in our country ( Canadians and Americans as well ), and they prefer CB Mortals than VFE for you info and to answer your next statement.

No framework fits all needs, some are better for one kind of application, some are better for others. Some require good knowledge of OOP, others are better suited for people you have a 2.x background. Why do we all have Windows PC's if Linux is so much better? Why don't we all write our own operating system and don't depend on Bill Gates?

>I don't have the nerve anymore to answer this. It's already an 'Advertisement.'

It's not, and you know this. If you don't want to discuss this issue, that's fine for me and probably for others, but don't blame them because you don't want to discuss.
