>>Reducing taxes in itself is never a solution.
>>It's pointless until we reduce the size and scope of government.
Trump is well on track to be the most deconstructionist president of government regulation in history. So far only Reagan beats him and it's not even a year compared to Reagan's long stint. In due course I hope somebody more expert than I can correlate this dismantling with the economic state to see whether there's any connection.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
