But in 2017, pursuit of 14-year-olds is profoundly unacceptable in Alabama and your sort of logic just worsens the divides ruining your nation.

I have at least 5 cousins that were married before they were 17 including 1 at 14 and 1 at 15. Two of those had their husbands died within the last year and both had celebrated their 60th anniversaries. Two of them are still married – one for 55 years and one for 67 years. The 5th one and her husband both died within a few months of each other after they had been married for over 60 years. My grandmother married my grandfather, 9 years her senior, when she was 16. They had 11 kids and lived together for 46 years before she died.
Times were different!
