Germany is #3 on the list of US trade deficits -somewhere around $65 billion in 2016. I don't know what the details are but I know the US beef exports (I raise beef cattle) to Germany are about 1/3rd what they are to Italy and Dominican Republic, 1/6th to Netherlands, even 1/2 to Guatemala. Something sounds strange.
