>>>One should note that Congress has a ban on CDC from even conducting any gun violence research. Shows you just how low the NRA and their paid off politicians will go - they don't even want any studies done on gun violence. It's all part of their evil plan - if you can't even do a study then it makes it harder to come up with a solution to a problem when you are not allowed to study the problem. Shameful.
>
>Looks as if the Trump administration is sorting that out. Assuming you're referring to the 1996 Dickey Amendment, IMHO there's nothing complicated about it: "none of the funds made available for injury prevention and control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) may be used to advocate or promote gun control."
>
>Is research the same as advocating or promoting gun control? Well, here's Trump's new health chief Azar: "My understanding is that the [Dickey] rider does not in any way impede our ability to conduct our research mission... We're in the science business and the evidence-generating business, and so I will have our agency certainly working in this field, as they do across the broad spectrum of disease control and prevention."

>Boom.

>Question for you: why isn't that all over the MSM? Over 20 years of missed opportunity that you describe as "shameful" until an outsider appointed by Trump to bring down prescription prices, immediately perceives that this swamp emperor has no clothes.

It is and has been all over the media. Well probably not Fox News, InfoWars and such -- but everywhere else.

>I see Trump also just instructed Sessions to do his utmost to render bump stocks illegal. "“[A]fter the deadly shooting in Las Vegas, I directed the attorney general to clarify whether certain bump stock devices, like the one used in Las Vegas, are illegal under current law. That process began in December. And just a few moments ago, I signed a memorandum directing the attorney general to propose regulations to ban all devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns. I expect that these critical regulations will be finalized, Jeff, very soon.”

Yeah only took a 2nd mass shooting of over a dozen children to get that ball rolling again... Hopefully it will turn into some legislation banning the bump stocks. Should of signed a memorandum about if after Las Vegas of course - buy hey at least he did it now.

>Lets just hope that a judge in Hawaii doesn't obstruct these initiatives too. ;-)

The last judges in the USA to stop anything to do with gun control would be from Hawaii. Hawaii is known for having some of the most strict gun laws in the whole USA - and Hawaii has shown that gun control works. Of course if the feds have their way assault weapons and high-capacity gun magazines might come back to Hawaii thanks to gun-loving creeps like GOP Chris Collins from New York.

>You know what I hope, Victor? I hope that by his next election, Trump will have done enough that more and more citizens are thinking that POTUS may not perfect, but boy didn't he get things done and deserve some respect.. ;-)

That is truly the most far-fetched ridiculous expected outcome of Trump's presidency I've heard thus far. Hell this idiot orange clown isn't even going to still be president by the next election lol. The only respect he deserves is from his fellow white supremacists, neo-nazi's and other racists. Nothing wrong with 'hope' -- but geeze be realistic dude..might as well hope for some magical pixie dust and fairies to solve the countries problems because the odds of this thisbozo doing it are the same.
