I think back to what Sarah Palin said when Obama talked about precision strikes in 2013: ""Let me get this straight....we want to bomb Syria because Syria is bombing Syria?"

I think part of this is to show the world that he's not necessarily in bed with Putin. Though candidly, I really wonder if Putin cares deep down at all about what we did last night.
