Does anyone know how much memory the first instance of a VFP app takes? If I start a second instance, how much more memory is used? 4M seems to stick in my mind, but I don't know for sure.

This might not be the best place to ask, but what about VB?

The app I'm looking to write would be made up of 3 different modules. The "front end" module just reads data from a serial line and dumps it to a data file. I'm thinking VB might be a better (lighter) front end than VFP, although the other two modules will be written in VFP. Any thoughts?
