>>Well I watched the Trump & Putin press conference -- thankfully on an empty stomach.
>>
>>Between that and his antics at the recent NATO meeting I expect to see some more resignations ... how can Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, national security adviser John Bolton and chief of staff John Kelly do their jobs with Trump like this? They can't so might as well quit -- we'll see.

>>Can people admit voting for Trump was mistake yet? geeze what does it take?

>Victor, believe me, I'm shaking my head at all of this (including Trump's attempt to clarify)
>
>Having said that, I'm more concerned with the policies and actions of the administration, far more than Trump's gaffes.

>Unlike the rantings of Pelosi about this being "proof" that Trump is in bed with the Russians, there's a better explanation: this was another example of Trump suckering and trolling his political enemies, but doing it very badly and carelessly. Trump tried to use the event to get back at those pushing this ridiculous collusion angle, though what he said this week was stupid and ill-advised and just another example of how much he's driven by his ego.

>I'm angry at Trump for what he did this week (and for his asinine statements about the North Korean leader last month), but it's also obvious that these ridiculous claims of "treason" just prove how easily the media and his political opponents fall for the bait.

Well - ridiculous because nothing matters and nothing will happen - however, don't you call this "the crime of giving aid or comfort to the enemies of one's government"?? -- which is the definition of the word. Frankly it doesn't seem like that far of a stretch. My guess is that what happened in the private meeting would have more implications that Trump's ramblings. Meanwhile while the GOP has everyone distracted with Trump's being a total idiot, they're implementing policies that are horrible and will have serious consequences. As for 'taking the bait' -- well Trump wasn't fishing he was just being his typical worthless self -- what exactly should of everyone done? Nothing? Ignore it? Hell you can't do that.
