Your problem is that there's been non-stop ranting and heads exploding about Trump ever since he took office, so now something happens and there's shrieking and heads exploding and Joe Average says oh, look who's crying wolf again and still got their knickers in a twist about Russia, meanwhile unemployment at the lowest level since the 1960s.
Just a query: why is it so important to have a lousy relationship with Russia? Doesn't hostility and non-stop negative rhetoric encourage bad behavior towards each other?
Is it true that Putin was peeved that Hillary interfered in his elections so wanted revenge? Maybe if Putin and Obama had met, things like that might have gotten settled down.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
