I did. But it was not so much that the one record has changed but that various records scattered throughout two tables (companies and contacts) have changed "in composite" (I don't know how else to describe it).

BTW, my wife grew up in Pointe Claire (Pierrefonds to be more exact) before her family was hauled away to Ontario during the 70's. We visited there a few years back and like most places, it has grown and is unrecognizable from those days!

And yes, I use GETFLDSTATE() or in this case, I use OLDVAL() and compare it against the current value to see if the text in that particular field has changed such that I need to update that one record.
