>>The man said "Do you see any elephants?"
The elephant in the room is that there are no elephants nor reason to expect any.
Whereas wrt the plum tree I have confirmed the "inflection" that accompanied Trumpian actions that your post seemed to contradict.
The irony is that the same people who are impressed by "hockey stick" graphs regarding global warming, refuse to see exactly the same shapes not based on estimates but on measurements, coinciding with Trump actions. Despite loud Fake News predictions of disaster to follow, I might add. If it's not caused by his actions, he should buy a lottery ticket because the graphed positive changes are the luckiest coincidence you can imagine. In numerous respects these results are 180 degrees opposite the tone of Fake News, Hollywood and others who seem determined to behave like a caricature of a Russian sneak trying to disrupt society and destroy faith in institutions.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
