In the VFP3 beta I argued repeatedly that SET DATE/SET SYSFORMAT etc either should default to machine locale or should not be scoped per datasession, but was shot down.
Even with SYSFORMAT set to default we still encounter issues where a machine is updated/reverts to US locale so date fields won't accept 19/11/2018 which causes a support ticket.
