>Lets none of us participate in this sort of furor ever again.

Any "furor" here, John, stems from each individual having a mirror placed before them, for it's a simple matter of legality, and a demonstration of each person's moral character and fortitude that they're willing to ignore Microsoft's wishes and pursue their own agenda instead. It speaks, across the board, of character, and of the influence of our decadent societies atop a respect for the law, and of right and true morals, vis-a-vis, "Don't wake the sleeping giant." Really? Is that where we want to live? At a place of doing our thing hoping, praying that we don't get caught, or that we don't raise awareness of our dubiously uncertain actions?

I'm sorry if that mirror hurts you or causes you "furor," John. FWIW, I can only conclude one reason why that's the case.

You like to quote people who have taught you things? Please allow me to convey this sentiment from someone I'm fond of: "Better to confront all personal issues now, today, rather than tomorrow, for today they can be addressed and corrected. Tomorrow may be too late. Tomorrow may never come."

There's a TV show out now that I'm very fond of, called ReBoot: The Guardian Code. It has the general theme: "Do what is right and you will do no wrong."
