Even six months ago, after a meal like that and a 30 minute walk, my glucose would have been 140-150. Tonight I did zilch after a big meal (and it was a huge plate of ziti), and it only hit 124.

Cured? I doubt it. I take the same 5MG pill now that took 20 years ago, keep active, watch my diet and run A1C's 0f 5.5-6.0 but I don't consider myself cured. I break the diet rules but not too often and everything seems to go OK. The possible bad effects of not "behaving" don't seem worth the risk to me.
Anyway, Congrats!
