>>>And here's where I make the distinction between being wrong (and even horribly and tragically wrong) and lies.

>The perpetually affronted and MSM make no such distinction. If Trump says he wants a concrete wall and then changes his mind to say steel, that's a lie.

You can't fool all the people all the time -- if they're paying attention. Part of the problem is that Trump lies sooo often and says so many ignorant things sooo often is that many people either just quit paying attention (because it's to wearing) or get so used to it that another whopper of a lie seems insignificant because it happens every day. In other words the twisted behavior becomes normalized. And then there are the people that simply do not care at all and will accept all of this because Trump is a white and not a woman like the morons that would rather be under Russian control that have the likes of HRC in office (and proudly wear t-shirts saying that). I do agree with you that the populace isn't reduced to that yet as a whole - and I doubt Trump will make it to the end of his term because all of these lies and dealings with Russia are going to come back to bite him in the ass. Even so there appears to be roughly 30% of the population that supports him no matter what -- and that includes 80% of the republicans. One of the issues that's going to arise when he does get impeached (if he gets impeached) -- is that there is a good chance that 30% of the population who supports him (for whatever twisted reason they do) is going to think we had a coup in this country...and that is not good for the country either. That is the problem with kicking his butt out of office. Even if (or when) the Muller investigation finds 100% positive proof of conspiracy with Russia and Trump, there is a percentage of people that won't care. They do not seem to care about anything that's been uncovered thus far anyway - and there is a lot. My personal opinion is that it's just to dangerous to leave him in office another 2 years - he's just unfit for the job and needs to go.
