It means something to me, which is why I chose the name 3Alive for my formerly LibSF software endeavor. The 3 connotation there is rooted in my foundational beliefs, and the alive aspect is self-obvious from within that framework. I made the choice to call it that on purpose because of convictions. Other people do similar things whether they realize it or not. And it does mean something.

I just checked. There are 7380 Norwegians called Thor, 2032 of which have only Thor as surname. There are also 25 Norwegians who have Thor as their family name. I did not check variants of the name Thor, neither did I check Swedes, Danes, Icelanders or Fins. And to be clear, It never crossed my mind to change my name, for whatever reason.
