And even if it were, I'd recognize you likely had little input in your own name. You could change it legally probably, but that's a significant thing.

>In any event, I like you, Tore. Always have. I hold nothing negative against you. I'm sorry if what I wrote offended you or impacted you negatively in some way. I didn't know you were involved with Thor, let alone an author or originator. I wasn't trying to attack you. My statements go entirely against the name Thor itself on its own merits, and what it conveys through mythology connotations. It means something to me, which is why I chose the name 3Alive for my formerly LibSF software endeavor. The 3 connotation there is rooted in my foundational beliefs, and the alive aspect is self-obvious from within that framework. I made the choice to call it that on purpose because of convictions. Other people do similar things whether they realize it or not. And it does mean something.

I just checked. There are 7380 Norwegians called Thor, 2032 of which have only Thor as surname. There are also 25 Norwegians who have Thor as their family name. I did not check variants of the name Thor, neither did I check Swedes, Danes, Icelanders or Fins. And to be clear, It never crossed my mind to change my name, for whatever reason.
