>>Has the level discourse descended to the point that you are seriously suggesting that there are people who will be "let down" if this virus turns out to be "less deadly?"

>>>According to Trump Jr. the liberals and democrats want people to die to "end Trump's winning streak".

>Serious question: what if the disease peters out as it seems to be in China. Meanwhile Chicken Littles have been predicting everybody will die, causing bison stampedes in stock markets while as recently as today, Schumer was blasting Trump's "incompetence" putting millions of Americans at risk. Of course Trump will compare his science-based measured decisive approach to haters who were more interested in shrieking "fire!" in a crowded theater.

" shrieking "fire!" in a crowded theater." is one of my favorites (actual quote "falsely shouting fire in a theater and causing a panic") . It is often quoted by both conservatives and liberals (especially Vietnam War protestors) in an attempt to put limits on the 1st Amendment. Most would be surprised by the case being tried when Judge Holmes made the statement.
the statement.
