Didn't find anything undoable on the virtual machines. also I can connect to them anywhere with any machine. in their office I use one of their machines . at home I use mine. Saves me cycling to and fro with kit in a bag.

Embolded: would bet on it, even Android has MSTSC and Azure clients and most Android stuff runs on Chrome if no special Chrome app exists. As Chromebook is HW-wise a laptop with keyboard and touchpad, chances are that you can use it better/for more than pure touch devices.

If Azure instance is integrated in company security and setup (AD) I would expect growing troubles with Chrome as more security is involved until you reach enterprise companies so big that Chrome is not an afterthought but tested and supported - but that is guesswork without empiric base. I just checked local VM screens with Android tablets (all machines running or did one crash and need attention from a real PC keyb?), input was so much PITA I did not try further, and that was about 2015, so it might work better now.

Back then it was so clunky I implemented "progress check" via log files sporting different names and percentage piped into a directory I could check via SMB from Android.

YMMV & regards
