GDIPlusX turned out to work. I didn't need resizing, just horizontal centering within the report's picture frame. I j used the GDIPlus ssystem.drawing.bitmap.fromscreen method to snip the picture from the form's image control (where it was already displayed as centered), and then used the bitmap object's save method to create a .jpg usable as the report's picture control source. That solved the problem of the report designer (unlike the form image class) being able to do its own centering only for images that are based on General fields, which I don't use. Yes, I have both the form's image control and the report's picture control set to scale contents, retain shape. Typical VFP, many ways to the same end, right? You stay healthy too.
