Hi Al,
What you are saying sounds very true. The Display Resolution on Windows 10 notebook says "1920 x 1080 (Recommended)". So, the actual is probably what you indicated in your message. I just need to figure how to see it, just so that I know.
This tells me that I need to redesign my VFP 9 app - this is my in-house app for customers/versions/updates/etc. I use it during the travel where I won't have an external monitor and need to make sure that I can use in the notebook alone. It should not be a super big deal for me to redesign.
Thank you very much!

>The first thing to check is that on the Win10 machine the display is actually running at ("full" HD) 1920x1080. It sounds like it might actually be running at 1366x768, which is commonly marketed as "HD" but is less than full HD resolution. Just because a screen is capable of 1080p doesn't necessarily mean it's running at that resolution.

>>Hi,

>>
>>My Windows 7 is connected to an external monitor. The screen resolution is 1920x1080 and the text is set to 125%.
>>
>>My Window 10 notebook (no external monitor). The same screen resolution and the same text setting.

>>But, when I run a VFP 9 application, on the Windows 7 external monitor I can see the entire main screen (main window)
>>
>>The Main Window of the VFP 9 application is Width=1400 and Height=760. On the Windows 7 external monitor it appears just like it should be. There is space to the right of the window (since 1920>1400) and space above the window (1080>76).
>>
>>But on the Windows 10 desktop the the same app, main window does not fit completely into the desktop. I appears that the desktop is slightly narrower that what is necessary.
>>
>>Why?
