Albert,
I would make several textboxes each with a different background, and set in the PrintWhen the condition to print yes or no, if it works to you satisfaction, than place all your textboxes over each other. A small trick: in order to be able to edit afterwards, make the boxes all with a different width (2 pix difference is enough)
Stay healthy,
Koen

Can someone confirm this? And if this is so, is there a way to maybe force it to be re-evaluated for each detail row?

>>>Is there a way to conditionally change the background on a report field in a report? In this case, the user wants empty values to be shaded red on the report so that they stand out. I know I can do this with a shaded box that overlays the field and put my condition in the Print When field. But this is tedious work to overlay these boxes on a report. It seems as though the Dynamics tab on a field should work but so far have not got the right set of combinations for it to work.
