>>>Well, here is where some people will argue with me, but so far nothing exists that can come close to VFP.

>>Your proficiency with VFP does not prove that "nothing comes close to VFP". Perhaps for you personally nothing comes close but WinDev easily outstrips VFP in every area; functionality, database access, built-in tools, code editing, project management, cross-platform, 3rd party language integration, responsive screen design, web, mobile, SCM, RAD, etc., ... everything.

>While it is possible for any particular platform to outshine a different platform in a few isolated areas, your list clearly shows a lack of VFP and FiC knowledge. Nothing comes close overall to the abilities of VFP and FiC. If there was something, I would be happy to use it for new development. (Converting is almost always a waste of time ansd money.)

My list was a quick sampling of random items, not designed to be comprehensive in any way. Don't nit-pick. But now you add FIC so its not just "VFP is the best" but now VFP plus FIC is the best. How many more tools you want to add to your list? The WinDev/WebDev/WinDev Mobile suite of tools does everything and much, much more than VFP without needing all the usual collection of 3rd party add-ons, ActiveX, libraries etc. And it does it in a similar way to VFP project development and similar syntax which makes life easier for developers coming from VFP. Perhaps it is your comments that clearly show a lack of knowledge of other tools that are way ahead of VFP (which was the focus of your original claim).

Converting systems is another discussion but certainly for us was a hugely beneficial move.
