Oh, I'm using them. But there's no solution for having mixed text in an editbox. Imagine selling an app to some border area, where they use cyrillic and arabic, or a scientific article where the quoted authors' names are written in their native scripts in parentheses - what would you do if you had to have japanese, armenian and cyrillic in the same editbox? No way, Jose.
Being limited to windowses is not a showstopper, it's just a waste of time (that it takes to overcome various things which worked once but now don't etc). But as the kid you quoted said, "this is how I make money".
