>>The one ActiveX I could not yet get rid of was the treeview control. What would be a good alternative?
We replaced with a native VFP grid with one column containing one sparse=.f. control, = container with 2 images, a textbox and a backstyle_access that positions and sets picture for the images and indents the textbox. Works well and ended the need for MS Common Controls. I'd offer it, except that it relies on a certain proprietary data characteristic that usually isn't present, but I'm pretty sure there's at least one example of a native treeview here or at the other VFP site...
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
