>>>>Load parler.com, just the front page. You need to remember the propaganda from Trump et al to look behind the kind wording. It's all there.
>>>
>>>I loaded the front page - what am I looking for on the front page which is neo-nazi or racist?I The main marketing message seems to be about not censoring users. I dont have an account (dont use social media myself) so cant read anything beyond the front page. Are we all talking about the same website: https://parler.com/ ?
>>
>>We do. If you are sensible about the words and who use them, it is as clear as blue sky.
>
>Sorry to be argumentative :) but from the Parler.com home page there is nothing that I can see which is racist or neo-nazi or neo-anything. Please point out some specific examples which are racist or neo-nazi or whatever.
>
>The central marketing message on the home page is that they do not censor user content. It is obvious, however, that if they indeed censor nothing then you will find the entire spectrum of thought on any topic from extreme left to extreme right, from pro-X to anti-X, from cat lovers to dog lovers.
>
>Apparently they do not censor but give users the tools to censor as they please. That is in keeping with the principle of free speech. If you truly believe in free speech then you must defend the right to the speech of those you despise. I find this a worthy principle. But give me the tools to filter-out that which I dislike and filter-in that which I like. But do not filter for me like Twitter and Facebook do. I do not need a middle man telling me what to think.
>
>If the founders or staff of Parler.com have taken some racist positions then let’s hear about that but I have no knowledge of that.

Anyone who does not censor Nazis and lies, attract them willingly. Anyone who let a Nazi a say is a supporter. Anyone who explicitly says no censorship is wooing those censored for good reasons on other places. IOW he supports them. It is not wrong to assume that non Nazi person will not do this. Because freedom has limits, and Nazis are out of bound.

>>How can one survive w/o social media? None of my kids use any other way to communicate. Cross over the table. If I need something, I must participate. It's nice if one don't fall for the instant-attention-trap.
>
>I easily survive without social media. When I use the phrase "social media" I refer to the mainstream platforms with which that phrase has become associated e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap, etc. I do not use any of them. For me it is 99% garbage and I cannot be bothered to search for the 1% (which will probably be my own confirmation bias anyway).

Twitter for fun and watching some odd minded friends (you remember the guy here who was drunken the whole night / our day?), Telegram for communication only. And not your own bias. and 0,01%, if.

>>Also you are wrong. This place is one of the oldest social media platforms on the web. ;)
>
>Yes, agree when strictly applying the phrase that UT is a type of social media but not in the way I was using this phrase.
