Had to look up dates in Wiki: born 1965, married 2004. I would be very surprised and might argue to allow him to judge only in jury trials, as a virgin at that age IMO certainly cannot be considered normal or "peer". Be careful not to invite a slander suit ;-)

I have never been in such college and religious surroundings, but at 17 being THAT awkward around females seems very strange. Only having drunken blunders as tactic to initiate physical contact at that age for me either points to abysmally low hormone levels and/or lack of imagination and desire to experiment. I clearly remember interest (and some attempts to be alone with them) in a few girls last 16 months or so in elementary school (which is only 4 years here, but with me having turned 7 just a few days before first day of school) without idea on what was interesting/drawing me and certainly no refined plan on how to proceed when reaching isolated and unobserved spots.
