Laptops are mostly Lenovos - the convertible Thinkpads because the kids like graphical input. Two MB's crashed, Wifi Antenna not mounted or broken, after MB replacement MB broken even more. Keyboard, Touchpad after less then two years. SIM Adapter not working. SIM Adapter not mounted despite ordered. New delivery after a quarter of an year. Problems to get the service engaged. But the HW is - if working - robust. One similar Dell. This is feels fragile by comparison, less IO. Pen not included. Rather new, it's precursor DELL was broken and DELL had - after 9 years - no replacement parts left. Parts from free market where worth new comp.
All desktops are self assembled - it's mostly about the IO and the SATA available. And expensive air cooling to have it quiet.
Server is a 8bay QNAP box running Debian. Not so quiet. :(
>Interesting. So far have not had to use Lenovo services much - once re an audio driver that was knocked out by a Win 10 update and they did not get anywhere. Lots of people online with same problem. I have both HP and Lenovo at home. Have to say that my HP laptop is still running after a LONG time. I also have a Lenovo laptop - not as old but so far okay. Desktops have all been HP. As a small reseller, the margins were better with Lenovo so got sucked in. But now wondering about going back to HP.

>>Yeah, if broken, broken beyond repair. Nice as long as maintained be the gnawed fruit. I run comps for small business for 2 decades and best overall services was DELL. Lenovo and HP build better Laptops. More robust. Lenovo service is poor. While DELL tenacious visited us each second day to get a laptop running, Lenovo quits after the second try and requires send in. 2 days work just to wipe the disk and reinstall.

>>There is a lot of people that love their Apple with the MS OS in some VM - it seems to be better if you like to develop Äpps for Aple devices too (Or the only way.) One saw a speakers on conferences with this setup.
