>>Walter does not even understand my position. He demonstrates his lack of experience with the wider world of crappy coders. I use mdot and naming conventions and every bit of science-won experience to permit my code to co-exist with the crap. Walter's position is unable to be applied 100% of the time. Mine is. Walter is a bully and those who permit him are cowards.

>Mike, there's a more fundamental problem here. I don't necessarily equate different naming conventions with "crappy coders".
>Yes, some people are better than others at conventions (and Charlie Schreiner's famous "A cRose by any other cName" FoxTalk article really challenged to re-think some things).

>But if you insist on this, I'm going to invoke a cultural reference: in the old Brady Bunch episodes, middle-child Jan went through the "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" phase. I think I'm going to put a nickel in a jar every time you say, "Walter, Walter, Walter". You hit three of them in one paragraph. That's fifteen cents.....care to go for a quarter? (Since you feel we are all cowards, I might as well go ahead and have some fun with it)
A bully is suffered by cowards. I did not say all are cowards, just those who turn a blind eye to bullying and harassment.
