>Windows 10 has a built in Microsoft PDF driver that works well. For anything before you'll need something else.

I do recall that the first few years there was an annoying bug in the PDF driver in Windows 10 -- if the destination filename contained spaces and commas, it would generate a zero-byte PDF f file (i.e. it would silently fail). The XPS print driver in Windows 10 also exhibited the same behavior. The XPS print driver in Windows 7 and Windows 8 did not have this bug. This bug has since been fixed, though I don't recall when.
Due to this problem, I needed to install a third-party solution -- which has been working well, except that now It's popping up nag request to upgrade to new version (obviously for a "nominal" fee). The boss isn't too keen on spending money on this upgrade (since the current version works well enough, and the built-in PDF driver is working). Sure, I could uninstall this software (since it's no longer necessary), but that would disrupt the workflow for many people who have grown accustomed to the way that software works (and removal of that software will FORCE those users to change how they're doing things).
