>>A client wants me to add a facility for his application to exchange data with a website. The website's SDK calls for POSTs and returns JSON. Looks like either Chilkat or wwIPStuff will give me what I need for the communication, so looking for opinions. (If I go with Chilkat, I'll probably use Bill Anderson's new VFPX wrapper class for it.)

>>Additional info: though we haven't implemented these yet, down the road, the client probably wants to add texting capability to the application and to replace the existing email capability with something more modern.

>Just about any modern website has some form of advanced authentication. Chilkat a) handles all that and b) has examples of how to implement all that.

Have already ACK on security/authentication being very important in the long run.
Also Chilkat is well into 1st sigma of better vendors maintaining their offering.
Rick has proven his worth in the area, even if he can be seen as 1 man army with clever customers supporting dev.
3nd sigma can only be reached when vendor knows customer and will start coding when customer describes the need.
(Shit hits fan metaphor not relevant here, as "it does *not* work")
