I have a love-hate relationship with both my iPad and my Kindle.

I have the latest Kindle fire and it's great for reading books and magazines I subscribe to.
But the apps for watching movies and streaming services are way too glitchy, even after doing a reset.

iPad is the opposite....while it has an app to read Kindle content, the experience is not the same as the Kindle Fire.
On the other hand, the apps for watching movies/streaming services run smoothly on the iPad.

If only one of them could do both well...
