Thanks, I'll try that. It just happens that my I'm doing daily updates (starting at Jan 1, 1998) which are approx 6,000 rows per day. On Mar 30, 1998 the update hit 57,000 and at about 20,000 slowed to a crawl. I was just about to post another question so I'll hang ten on that and try your suggestion.
