I am working on combo box in a grid. The combo box is populated with a cursor. There are 2 columns in this combo box:1)item_id which is a interger, 2)name which is the chr. Boundcolumn is 1. Everything works fine except the value will change to record number after I lostfocus of the combo box. I tried the following:
1) convert the integer into str: it works as far as it item id number but I have to do a lot of extra work to convert it back to integer to match the data type.

2) populated the combo box with an array. it does not help as all.

Does anyone have a better idea for me.
