Change the Combobox.BoundTo property to .T. This changes the Value to the item and not to the list item number. This is always a "gotcha" with numerics and comboboxes.


>I am working on combo box in a grid. The combo box is populated with a cursor. There are 2 columns in this combo box:1)item_id which is a interger, 2)name which is the chr. Boundcolumn is 1. Everything works fine except the value will change to record number after I lostfocus of the combo box. I tried the following:
>1) convert the integer into str: it works as far as it item id number but I have to do a lot of extra work to convert it back to integer to match the data type.
