Another point is that once U have developed a template for one client, U can reuse the code base for other clients. Hopefully, this original code base will continue to be tested each time U use it for a new client and improve over time. That's my strategy. Estimating time for fixed prive jobs still is a scary process which I would prefer not to engage in, but money is money and it is tough to say no. I like the fact that U ask for money to perform the analysis. I assume this is time & material and not fixed priced. It may be an approach I may try later with clients that want nothing but fixed price. A mixture may be the solution in some cases.
