In some Microsoft camps, it seems that Microsoft is trying to position VFP as the middle tier tool (which of course is a good thing!) and VB (as well as IE) as the front end tool.

As a side note, I don't understand why VB would be a better front end tool?

Anyways, I was at a Microsoft supported seminar in San Jose a week and a half ago and I attended a session on ADO and a session on XML. The Microsoft spokesperson at the ADO session mentioned VFP seven times in his discussion on what tools can be used in the middle tier and with ADO (here here!!!). But, I believe the spokesperson giving the XML session did not even know of the VFP product!

What we need to do is to get the Microsoft folks to include VFP in their conversions and writings along with the usual VB, Java, C++, etc speak.

Thanks
Dean
