in VFP, Help - About - System Info, that's where I track memory usage before it crash, you can get the same info in the about dialog box in the win explorer window.

You know that resource are low when you can no longer save your work in VFP or weird things happens when display has to be refreshed in the development environment ( like Win unable to find font files, bmp etc.. )
