I tried same, and GDI resources drop 2% at each preview, but are returned afterwards, checking the same way you did. Norton utilities v 2.0 confirms the numbers. I use norton system monitor at all times. This will monitor GDI and other resources. You can set a threshold, and when a particular resource meets the threshold, a message appears, or action can be taken. I am running Win95, 1024x768x256, 2mb ram, Cirrus logic.
