Because I discovered this behavior when I tried to pass back and forth a temporary table in a temporary DBC between objects in different datasessions. Having a transaction in one datasession permitted in this case to open the table in another datasession.

OK, in general it's great, but I'd rather have the possibility to define which databases are involved in a transaction.
