<*sigh*> I don't know what everyone else is complaining about: once I figured out the right way to work with it, everything went well. I admit I haven't tried to stretch its capabilities much, but for day-to-day work, it was fine. Of course, if you both tried to get the same form at the same time, VFP wouldn't let you (quite properly: VSS can't properly merge SCXs together, afaict), but besides that, it was smooth.

My supervisor made me stop using it for that project, though, for various reasons.... I've used in on all my others, though....
