Some how the blanks got dropped by the UT, as it is above, although I directly quoted it. Must be some HTML thing. :)

No, that's not necessary. Only the inner ChrTran() contains an Upper() in order to determine all characters that are not alphas. The outer works on the original string and removes those non-alpha characters. It does preserve the case of the string. :)
