Hi Michael,

Unfortunately I haven't got an answer for you, but that
" Available physical memory: 196 KB* " looks awfully low indeed!

Could there be something in your BIOS or possibly required in early OS loading which is causing your PHYSICAL RAM to *NOT* be used for general processing?

The fact that you are using 10% of SWAP also contributes to my suspicion here.

I also have to wonder why it is using SWAP at all when you have 196KB of RAM left. Also, why is it complaining about lack of memory with all that SWAP available? Seems that SWAP is only used for certain things.

All I can suggest is that you monitor similarly after *each* failure to see if maybe each/any is failing to release RAM back to OS.

By the way, one wonders how it determines 10% when you could use more and more space until you exhaust it?!

Good luck,

Jim N

Below is a partial dump of MSINFO during the last VFP6 session experiencing the errors. (I have the full dump MSINFO dump if necessary.) I would appreciate ANY input on what could be happening here. One thing I notice is that the GDI resources look quite low, but I do not know how to rectify it, aside from rebooting... which would be frequent.
