>>>Hello,
>>>
>>>I am having problems when sending a report to a printer. I can preview it on screen and everything looks perfectly fine, but when I send it to my LaserJet 4+, it'll send out garbage. Sometimes, it'll spew out 10 pages before I can stop it. I suspect the container might be bad because I opened it up in VFP 5.0 and then later restored it from a tape backup to reopen it with VFP 3.0. Does anybody know where i can look to solve this dilema?
>>>Thanks,

>>Looking at the problem from a different angle -- Have you opened the report, re-set the active printer and saved it again? The report might be sending Epson 9-pin commands to your LaserJet 4+. I'd check printer controls from the Windows/Win95 Control Panel clear down to the printer saved with the report.

Another easy check is to print a test page from Win95 Printer Contro. Also try to create a new simple report form an run it from the command window. Not to mention trying other applications, Word, Excel,... U get the idea. Is the problem in the report form? With the printer setup? With VFP? Did VFP 5.0 overwrite anything? U may want ot re-install VFP 3.0. Just some early morning thoughts... Steve
