Printer settings not saved with report

I've noticed that some printer settings are saved with the report and others don't.
The orientation is alway saved, but whether or not to print colors in
grayscale is not saved with the report,

Each time when i set the 'print colors in grayscale' it seems to hold the setting. But when i close and print the report with "REPORT FORM x TO PRINTER" it still prints colors.

The same thing happens when i try to set the printing resolution or drafmode and some other settings.
Only when i print the report with REPORT FORM x TO PRINTER PROMPT, and change the settings, it will print properly

I've tried this with with different printer drivers: HP Deskjet 890C and Star LC-10, on W95 and NT 4.0, in VFP 5.0 and VFP 6.0.

Is this behaviour by design or is this a BUG ?

Please help !?!

Regards, Walter
