Now that you mention it. I recall a message where the IntelliMOuse caused problems when one of the "smart" options have been turned on. But I can't recall which option it was. The most probable would be an option that affects how a mouse click is interpreted. Like holding the mouse button down for more than a certain time locks the mouse button and a second click release it, or sort of this.
