Like holding the mouse button down for more than a certain time locks the mouse button and a second click release it, or sort of this.
Could be, I didn't spend much time checking out the Intellimouse features -- I'll go have another look later on. In the meantime, I told the user to click once on my app's buttons to select them, then press the Enter key. Works (except for toolbar), but kind of a step backward in interface :)
